How to get from Torp Airport to Oslo Central Station

Many visitors ask us how to get from Torp Airport to Oslo Central station or Oslo Bus Terminal, which are just a short walk from our Oslo flats and rooms for rent.

Please note there are two airports outside Oslo, Gardermoen Airport (OSL) (main airport) and Sandefjord Airport Torp (TRF).

There are several convenient options to travel from T Gardermoen Airport (OSL) to the city center. It's recommended to buy tickets in advance. You can purchase tickets here or read more about the different options below.

1. By Train

VY (Norwegian State Railways) Train

  • Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
  • Frequency: Regular departures.
  • Cost: Around NOK 270-300.
  • Tickets: Purchase tickets here
  • Transfer Required: Yes.
    • Shuttle Bus: A shuttle bus connects Torp Airport to Torp Station. The bus ride takes about 4 minutes.
    • Tickets: Combined tickets for the shuttle bus and train can be purchased here.
    • Train: From Torp Station, take the train directly to Oslo Central Station.

2. By Bus

Flybussen (Airport Bus)

  • Duration: Approximately 40-50 minutes.
  • Frequency: Every 20 minutes.
  • Cost: Around NOK 179 if purchased online, slightly more if bought on the bus.
  • Departure Point: The bus departs from just outside the airport terminal.
  • Tickets: Bus tickets can be purchased here

  • Cost: Around NOK 700-1000 (prices can vary, and it's advisable to check with the taxi company for a fixed rate).
  • Availability: Taxis are available outside the arrivals area of the terminal.

4. By Car

Rental Car

  • Duration: Approximately 40 minutes.
  • Cost: Varies by rental company and car type.
  • Car Rental Services: Available at the airport.

5. By Shared Ride Services

Uber or Other Ride-Hailing Services

  • Duration: Approximately 40 minutes.
  • Cost: Varies depending on the time of day and demand.
